Enjoy the most recent Hyouka short story to be released! This is a really difficult one to put into English, so I tried to add as much help as possible. I hope you guys enjoy it. (I’ll be resuming Solaris now that I’ve finished this one.) The Tiger and the Crab, or The Murder of Oreki Houtarou
Sorry about the wait! Here’s the third chapter of SOLARIS. Episode.3 – Chaos Diver
Hey guys! This is the new project I mentioned in the last post. I’m going on a several week long vacation in a couple days, so here are the first 3 chapters to hopefully hold you over. SOLARIS the Abyssal is a science fiction/horror series, complete at two books. The first couple chapters start off much more generically than what I usually translate, but if you are a fan of horror and despair, then I advise you to stick with…
Hey guys, sorry about the inactivity on here! I’ve been dutifully translating away, but unfortunately, I never got around to updating the website. You might’ve already seen it on Baka-Tsuki, but here’s the completed Classics Club Series volume 6! Even Though I’m Told I Now Have Wings Once I do some QoL edits, I might consider converting the volumes I’ve completed so far into PDFs and EPUBs. In other news, you might notice the new series on the side-bar. I’m…
Here is the first chapter from qhp and me. You’ll notice that the four chapters in the first part of the novel are considerably longer than the chapters in later parts, so hopefully upload speed will only become faster and faster as we get deeper into the book. ;D Part 1, Chapter 1 I hope you enjoy the meeting of our down-to-earth MC and the lovable Maja!
The prologue of our next project, edited by qhp once again, is out! It’s titled Goodbye, Fairy and was writted by Honobu Yonezawa of Classics Club Series/Hyouka fame. I hope you enjoy it! Click here to read it! (PS: Sorry to those who have been waiting for the Petit Bourgeois translations. I’m going to be putting that one off for now.)
Sorry for the long absence! Today I have a new short story released in the Classics Club (Hyouka) Series, titled “Even Though I’m Told I Now Have Wings…” It was originally released in Kadokawa’s Shousetsu, Yasei Jidai publication, from December, 2015 to January, 2016. Click here to read! The story was edited this time by qhp, so I hope you’ll thank him as well!
The fifth volume of the Classics Club series, Approximating the Distance between Two People, has been completed! Check here to read it!
A science fiction translation I did back in college. Shin’ichi Hoshi is often considered the father of modern Japanese science fiction. His signature style was what he called the “short-short,” a fable-esque and darkly humorous short story that could be as brief as two pages. He wrote over a thousand of them in his lifetime.
